Flat Yarn Dryer Mesh
BGW22608 High Hydrolysis Resistant Flat Yarn Dryer Mesh
Dryer sections for cultural, coated and specialty papers, where sheet surface quality and hydrolysis exposure are considerations.
View technical detailsDryer mesh selection starts with the dryer-section position and the paper-machine operating window, not with a product name alone. Paper grade, basis weight, machine speed, fabric width, loop length, seam arrangement and current-fabric behavior all affect the specification to request. The models listed here cover flat-yarn, double-warp and round-monofilament constructions. Their dimensions and permeability values are model references from the supplied schedule; they are not interchangeable specifications.
Flat-yarn dryer fabrics use flattened warp yarns in the described constructions. When evaluating one, compare the paper-side contact surface, yarn dimensions, density, caliper and stated strength with the position where the fabric will run. Models in this family include options for cultural, coated, specialty and packaging papers. A smooth surface or a stated low-permeability design may be relevant to a particular grade, but the target should be checked against the mill’s drying practice and the section’s measured conditions.
Double-warp designs add warp yarns to the construction and may be specified for strength, contact or heat-transfer considerations. Do not infer performance from the term “double warp” alone. Check the actual warp and weft dimensions, density, seam strength and whether the proposed permeability is fixed or configurable. For a multi-group dryer section, state the cylinder group and whether the fabric is single-felted or used in another arrangement. A candidate should be reviewed by position rather than applied across an entire machine by default.
Round-monofilament models in this range include double-layer options for packaging grades and high-basis-weight papers. The supplied data lists different permeability windows, including configurable values. Higher nominal airflow is not automatically better: the machine position, sheet support, drying demand and test method all matter. Confirm the requested value and unit on the quotation, and do not compare values measured using different methods without checking the basis.
Send the machine speed, paper grade and basis weight, fabric width, loop length, current fabric model or construction, measured permeability and seam type. Identify the dryer group and any installation constraints. If the current fabric has an operating concern, include the observation and how it was measured. This allows the supplier to distinguish a change in weave or yarn dimensions from a change in permeability, seam or fabric dimensions. Missing values should be confirmed rather than guessed.
